You cannot use the I-6 mounts or mount locations. '62-67 Novas use a specific lower mount for V8 cars. There's no need to fab them, Classic Industries makes reproductions of the original V8 motor mounts, part #NJG29. You will also need a notched sump oil pan for drag link clearance, Milodon PN 31060, or an original V8 Chevy II pan.only time i have changed from straight 6 to a v8 was in a truck and the only thing that needed to be changed was the motor mounts. and a little work on the exhaust other than that everything else bolted straight up. good luck

You would want a small block mount that fits in something similar - maybe a newer or same year with a v-8. Then place the motor with mounts on it precisely where you want it and mark the frame. Then jack motor back up and drill the holes. Make sure your holes are going to be exactly where you want them before you drill anything.
