Hyundai ,Are these cars worth buying?

Question:
I here they are junk. Is it true?

Answers:

Tauraus owners......?

Honda is much better and Toyota too. But the problem with Honda is high fuel usage and the problem with Toyota is weak body. The body is weak because the material is light and that is why Toyota consumes much less fuel. And Honda consumes alot of fuel because its body is heavy and solid. Hyundai well, it varies from car to car. But I won't recommend it.

the lights in the instrument panel dont work its a 98 expedition eddie bauer?

I wouldn't buy one. You're better off with a Honda or Toyota.

Dodge hemi ,How many HP can you get W/new purch.?

Hyundai has improved a great deal in the last 3 years or so.

The CVT? Anyone have comments on the CVT transmission?

Here is the problem. Any Hyundai before 2002-3 model year or so has suspect reliability. Hyundai's built after then are much improved, but Hyundai still has a huge image problem which means new Hyundai's are a lousy investment because they depreciate like crazy. Basically you're thrilled because you got a nice new car for $15k, but then two years later it's worth like $5,500 so it ACTUALLY winds up costing you MORE to own than that Honda or Toyota would have.

1987 chysler 5th ave does it have a filter in the tank if so can it be cleaned and reinstalled?

The only way I would buy a Hyundai would be if it was a newer, low mileage certified used one 2003 or newer and I was getting a great deal on it. Let someone else eat some of that massive depreciation.

i have a 2003 ACURA RSX TYPE S AND I WANT TO CHANGE THE TAILLIGHTS BUT ITS HARD SOME ONE PLEASE HELP THANKS?

What the previous person said about Hondas and Toyotas makes no sense. Honda's are no heavier or sturdier than Toyotas. That is BS. Any new Honda or Toyota you can buy right now is very safe, period.

anybody have an electric car starter put in a 2001 jetta manuel, was there any problems? will it work perfect?

No, You are better off with a toyota, honda or that dreaded American car.

repair tun signal on 2003 Lincoln Towncar?

I dont know what hyundai model or year that person was referring to but i would not call hyundai junk because i bought my hyundai accent new its a 01 back in feb of 01 have had it since i have 113 some thousand miles on it and i have never put a penny in the thing except for tune ups and fluids changed i spent about 10,000 on it so no i would not call hyundai junk i would buy another accent. However i know someone that had a santa fe and claims was a piece of junk had problems with it brand new so its the model not the make. There are also good chevy's, pontiac's, and fords, and some very crappy ones. As for the Hyundai Accent- best cheap car you can buy!

MY honda prelude wont start. My car sounds like its fluding with gas?

Did they ever make a Mercury Meteor Convertable?

70 's VW Beetle lug nuts?

most people believe that all hyundai models are not reliable but it is not true. as a previous 02 sonata owner i can say that it is reliable as much as honda or toyota. it is true that the resale value isnt high as honda or toyota but the quality is good as any other brand and there brand image is improving because hyundai is making better cars each year with better models like the new suv veracuz to compete with honda pilot, lexus RX 350 and has more space than a mercedes GL class.

When I let off the brakes on my truck I get a sqeauling noise from under the car. What could this noise be?

No they are not junk. They are fine piece of engineering these days.
Lots of standard features

I researched my car for 6months before buying, and only thing negative I found was an "image problem". Toyota in the past 6 months had 3 recalls for more than a million vehicles in US alone, and honda is soooo pricy that overdo their so called quality.

the power of two, coming soon......tv comercial?

So the question is are you mature enough to see all that or ................pay more and buy crap just becoz you want to please everybdy around.

my 97 dodge caravan only gives out heat on the drivers side. What can be the problem?

contrary to others beliefs we owned both a honda civic and a hyundai elantra. we still have the elantra as we had more problems with the civic- not as well made- we sold the civic-yes it does have a better resale value but thats it. Personally the hyundai is a better, quieter and more comfortable riding car. They both were 05's. the older hyundai probably had problems but they have improved 100%

How to lower a 2000 Chevy Blazer?

Let me see...I seem to remember those same words spoken about another group of cars(had I bought stock in those companies at that time, I would be a multimillionaire now)
What cars? The "Jap. scrap". Now they make one of the most reliable cars in the world.
Hyundai is another asian car company. The likelyhood that it will follow in the same footsteps as it's cousins is likely. Cars are new to the company. They mainly make large "earthmoving equipment".
They have improved alot since their first "Pony".
