This type of lift is fine if you dont want to spend much money.I seen many people use them. All it does is allow the front torsion bars to twist and raise the vehicle up in the front and it drops the rear shackles in the back to raise the truck.if money is tight and all you want is a small amount of lift then this type will be fine.Be sure you have a good mechanic to put it in.Those front torsion bars can be a bear to deal with. The labor is gonna cost more than the kit itself but this is the cheapest type of suspension lift.Personally i would just buy the spring type to lift your vehicle in the front. If your just trying to level your front end out to match the rear, just buy the front spring kit--http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/level-2-l...
I would rather use it than to have to twist your torsion bars.Think of it this way.Just buy the front springs to level it out(which are easier to install by the way) and then down the road if you want more lift, then get the torsion bracket kit. This is the way i would go.With new front springs you wont lose ride quality and its much safer and your front will now be level with the rear.Probably get a size taller tire on the truck now as well.Good luck.
