I used to own a VW trike. I built it from a kit I bought from A place called Trikes by Stires, In Garden Grove , California. I dont know if they are still in business. Let me add a few remarks about a VW trike. Although at first it was fun to drive, it was a very dangerouse vehicle to drive. The weight factor was the biggest issue. All the weight is in back of the rear axcel. Making it very prone to doing wheelies, even at high speeds when shifting gears. When driving on the freeway, I'm not sure the front wheel was on the ground as much as I would have liked it to be. The insurance was very expensive. The only carrier I could find was Loyds of London.
