i just bought a 99 grand am gt, the window on the passenger side doesnt go down becaise he glass is tilted to the left. i may need a new window regulator how much would that cost?

I had an older grand am with the same problem, but the regulator was fine. The problem was these plastic clips that attached to the window. They would keep the glass in the upper channel where the weatherstripping is. Without these clips the window would tilt inside the door frame. Go to your local Pontiac dealer, ask to see the service manual for your car, if it shows these plastic clips you can order them there probably for under 20$.

A window regulator can run about $300 to $500 installed.Depends on where the work is done.

You might want to check the weatherstripping as these cars are notorious for binding the windows. A regulator should be less than $100 at a salvage yard. But you need to be really careful if you remove the motor from the regulator to replace it. You can lose fingers doing this. I would take it to a glass shop myself.
