Question:
Hi guys...
I'm planning to buy an Audi A4 about 2002-3, but recently a friend of mine told me that they are not imported from Germany (as i thought) and that they come from Mexico and have some issues with them. I'm not saying that the cars from there are bad, but I'm just interested if it's true.
I appreciate the help.

Mexico is right. Volkswagen is the parent company and manufactures the vehicles there. If you live in Europe they are built in Germany. It is more cost effective for the Germans to have North American models built in Mexico due to the low cost of labor and shipping. They save the the top quality models for the Europeans and Asians.Own a 2000 Chrysler Cirrus? Do brakes squeak?
Are you in the US? If so, you can go to autotrader.com and see for yourself... on my search for an Audi A4, 2002 or 2003, every vehicle in the search results had a VIN number from Germany ("W" means "made in Germany", "3" means "made in Mexico").My ford focus has 70,000 miles , do i need to replace the timing belt?

I believe all Audi A4s are made in Germany. If the VIN starts with W it means the vehicle comes from Germany. To be sure, you need to run a Carfax or AutoCheck report on the vehicle before buying.Compare the prices on http://www.motobidia.com/index.asp... as well - shipping is free there, and AutoCheck car history reports are available at no charge, too.
