Make sure you have it meticulously serviced, at the correct intervals, by a trustworthy garage. Change the engine oil and filter at half the recommended miles (I know, it sounds extravagant but, by following this routine I've _never_ had an engine fail on me in decades of high performance motoring). Oh, and never use non Porsche-made spares.
