I have a high mileage truck, how long can a 350 small block run?
If the wash had anything to do with it, then I have a very strong suspicion that there is water in the distributor cap. I would try drying this out as well as the distributor, first. If this does not correct the problem, then it needs to go to a professional repair facility.1995 honda civic lsi immobiliser?
Remove, clean and reconnect your battery cable connections. If your battery is 5 years old, replace it. The weird sound is probably your starter solenoid clicking on without enough battery power to actuate the starter motor. This is called a "no crank" condition. What's the best way to remove lifters?

You didnt say if you were wasing the engine or not - If you were - you probably soaked the distributor cap, water seeped into a hairline crack & now it is cross firing to gound. There is another famous problem with Jeeps that have the 6 cylinder ( 4.0 liter ) motor - there is a crank poosition sensor on the bellhousing right under the intake manifold on the drivers side - if this is bad - the car will not run if your life depended on it . Usually, when they go bad - the car will start fine - but about a block or so from the house - it bucks, farts , stumbles and dies & will not restart. Check to see if you got fuel pressure & spark ..If you were washing the engine - get some WD-40 - take the distributor cap off - and soak the hell out of it to drive out the moisture - shake it out & put it back on ..Ford F250 2 wheel drive to 4x4 conversion PLEASE HELP!?
sounds like a battery problem full power not getting to the motor or u may have some water sitting where its not supose to be, if the sound is like a low clicking/grinding or mix of both sound (s) then its a battery problemThe fact that you washed it and now it won't start but makes weired noises indicates that something under the hood is wet and shorting out.Someone familiar with the jeep should check for water under the distributor cap,on the ignition wires and on the coil.

sounds like your battery has enough juice to run lights and radio but no enough to turn over the motor! bring the battery to o'reilly or auto zone and they will test it for you!How do I turn off the "service engine soon" light on a 2000 ford escort zx2?
It probably needs a new starter. If you turn the key, no choking sound will happen, just nothing at all. Starters will eventually go bad after a number of years. It's about a 250 dollar piece and about 80 to install it. I can't be SURE this is the problem, but that's what happened to my '94 Jeep.Do you feel that Chrysler fully honors their warranties?
Ted s is right on this one. start with the battery, the connections and then have the starter tested. With any luck there will not be a short in anything and you will have already sourced out the problem. Electircal problems on a jeep can be a b****. Goodluck!More Questions & Answers ...
