Does anyone know when CHRYSLER CORP last offered an 8 TRACK AM/FM radio option in any of their new cars?

Just wondered what the last year was that you could order a new Chrysler, Dodge, or Plymouth and have a 8 Track in dash style radio installed?

Has Volkswagen issued a recall for the 2003 beetle? Seems like there's a problem with the electrical system

The last year I remember GM offering this was 1982 or 1983, as my Aunt had a new 1983 Cadillac Deville with a 8 Track AM/FM radio already installed.

Thinkin of buyin a 2003 mazda speed mazda protege.?

by late 1979 8 tarcks were mostly already replaced by casste players the tapes were more compact to carry and the players and tapes had less trouble... by then most listeners had worn out the lod favorite 8 track tape out so it wouldn't play anyway
