Question:
I have a 94 honda accord w/ a newly replaced F22B1 engine that is currently auto trans. I have come across a deal where I can buy a 94 prelude front "clip" w/ a manual transmission for a great price from what folks tell me. I have also located the other manual parts( pedal, shift cables, slave cylinder, etc.) for an additional 125.00. I intend on a street/strip set up for my daily driver - nothing over the edge but I do enjoy mods. A lot. Question being; does anyone know if this would be a better setup to run over what I have already? Cause I have forked out quite a penny in it already but it seems to lack the horsepower gains I expected. I am not pleased but also not completely finished - overall which would be the better build to satisfy my needs?

97 Tahoe Transmission Options?
I don't really think that you would want both engine. It's not F22 or H23 that you would want because they're both non-VTEC and one of them are SOHC...you would actually want to go with F20B VTEC engine and tranny or H22A set up with B series transmission. Most effective transmission or "tranny" for the H set up would be an LSD from a B16 - "Si" motor or B18 - type "R". The H set up is called H2B set up or K - Killer. You would wana have this because it would end up like having a K series motor but a little cheaper. The only thing on having the H2B set up is because the H series tranny is uneffective. But if you have the B series set up it would be the most powerful swap that you could ever get.Bottomline, you would wanna spend at least close to about $6k rather than spending over $10k on this set-up. I would personally try the H2B set up due to its effectiveness and proven track record that it put out bu having F20B set up won't hurt either since you don't have to modify any kind of fabrication or changing engine mounts. Check Dragsport.com issue #53 for the H2B swap pros and cons. I hope this would help you decide on what to do and get for your ride. Enjoy!!
