So, the next best thing is to get some better plugs(Bosch Platinum 4-ways) and high spark wires with a matching cap and rotor set. Next, get a really high output ignition coil and alternator set-up. This will help get the motor humming along nicely without major engine work. It would be advisable to get a good engine and radiator flush along with this too as you'll be putting out some major heat from the engine.
