Chrysler LeBaron Engine Chatter?
The Turbo powered GTs, Limiteds and Tourings DO have better power, but turbocharged cars - no matter WHO makes them - have more parts that can wear out and a turbo is an awfully expensive "wear" item. seals inside the turbo get old, can dry out and leak.
Off road x or h pipe? wat brand?
Gas mileage is the biggest headache on a PT - you'll see high teens and low 20s with a heavy foot... higher if you drive gently and slow.
How much WHP does a stock 2007 WRX STI have?
Other than that, they're a very safe car.
and don't buy the "they're just a neon" hype... they're not. they only share a handful of parts with the Neon - but then again, so do many of Chrysler products.
Is there a way to turn back the odometer in a e36 bmw 318is, if so how much would it cost ?
They have a 2.4 litre 4 cylender motor that is based upon the basic motor in the minivans and the "cloud" cars (Cirrus, Breeze, Stratus).
Where Is the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) For A 2005 Chevy Aveo?
They're fairly comfortable and able to carry 4 "normal" people with comfort and some luggage. They are a heavy little car (weighing almost as much as the minivans!) and so they can feel a little less than zippy. But I have no problems with My get up and go.
With a small size, they're very easy to park and move around. and they can swallow a HELL OF A LOT of stuff/cargo/gear for trips...
As for the other comments about buying a Honda or a Toyota - these Japanese makers can have problems too. I've known people with crappy Camrys and crummy Civics.. it's all a gamble.

If the previous owner(s) have taken care of the car and done the regular maintenance and repairs - you can have a car that lasts for many years and many thousands (and hundreds of thousands) of miles.
Is there a cobalt ss /sc club in souytheast michigan?
One other thing... in all the "no, stay away" kind of posts - even those from mechanics, they never seem to be able to tell you WHY the PT Cruiser (or any car, for that mater) is a piece of junk or whatever negative view they have.

Check out the incentives on the PT. They have come down in price considerabley. You can probably afford one. Yes they are good cars if properly maintained.
How do i change a running light in a 1994 Pontiac grand am?
They're built in Mexico on the Dodge Neon platform. They ride a little harsh. Because of the extra body weight they are a tad under powered. They have lots of interior room and get decent gas mileage. It is quite similar to the Chevrolet HHR.I am happy with mine. It had not given me any trouble for over a year. The 2003 are on the consumer reports recommended list. The only bad thing, they make more noise than the usual car.
Consumer Reports says that they're the most reliable Chrysler, and among the most reliable of all American products. The previous poster was correct; they are based on the previous Neon platform.
What is in a 1996 z71 package?
there junkDoes anyone know if all the new wrx sti's will be hatchbacks?
the chrysler pt cruiser is fairly reliable on models between 2001-2003. durability is good, engine runs decent, electronics work well. however, the manual trans. has slight chance of a minor oil leak, the automatic has a less chance of a leak. however, the leak is easily solved at a fairly low price depending on size of leak. the newer models are much more reliable, yet the 2001-2003 model is.a reasonable alternative until you have enough for a new one.Why is it that mobile phones have to be switched off in a petrol bunk?
I personally work on cars for a living and I would not reccomend that particular vehicle they are not all that. you'd be better off getting a honda or a toyota but this is only my opinion gl2u test drive your purchase first.I give them a 5 or 6 maybe on reliability.Does Toyota Rav4 Limited has an inbuilt GPS or as an option to add while purchasing?
According to Consumer Reports, the PT Cruiser is about the most reliable Chrysler.Diffrence between 2003 and 2004 accord?
PTs are best known for being based on a Neon platform. That is not entirely true. Yes, they use the same drivetrain, but so do some Sebrings. The front suspension setup is the same as a Neon, the rear is entirely different. Now, yes, the PT does have a rougher ride, it is a cheaper car too. They offer a turbo PT, which is the one I'd get. There are a few problems that plague the PT line, but nothing overly detrimental. Overall, they are good cars if maintained properly. They (Chrysler) must have done something right with the PT for GM to almost exactly duplicate it with the HHR!!How to keep my 1997 honda accord from getting stollen?
They sure are very durable cars but the gas mileage isn't anything to write home about, my aunt owns a PT Cruiser W/base engine/automatic) and she loves her car.How do you fold down the back seat in a 95 toyota 4runner?
My 2004 Touring Edition has been very reliable. I have 52 K on it with no major problems. I take it to the dealer for its scheduled maintenance religiously. It has not proven to be expensive to maintain either. Consumer Reports and Consumer Digest rate it highly and give it good marks for reliability - rare for a publication to say something positive about an American auto these days. Can a spare key be made for my 96 mustang that has a chip in it for security?
My gas mileage has not been as good as I thought it would have been. However, my only nagging problem has been the rear brakes. The PT Cruiser (unless it's the GT) has a disc/drum setup. My drums sound like metal -to-metal scrubbing in the back when you apply the brakes. This would have been alleviated if Chrysler used discs all around, but somebody was trying to save money. I've had it checked out and had the rears adjusted, but that didn't help. Now, the dealer wants to resurface the drums (which I thought they only did to discs) for $200. I may have to try that out.
I need spark plugs and an ignition coil for my 99 Toyota Solara SLE V6...?
it depends on which one you get and the year you get. If you get an older one that is a base model you will HATE it. They have no power whatsoever and if you plan on driving on the highway only do about 70 MPH because if you go faster than that the car will start to shake and its gunna feel like your going to go off the road. Now the PT that you want would be a newer sport one. You want the one that has the forced induction engine (turbo, supercharger) now that one has some balls. These one are also made with a lot more quiality and ou wont get the "shake" effect and you will be able to show some ppl that you have a PT that can whip your Civics ***. Well thats my .02 get the Turbo!2001 Ford F-150 4X2 2WD Supercab 16X7 Rims can 265/65/16 Tires fit?
