'98 Sebring Coupe making popping noise. Amplifier?

'98 LXi with Infinity Audio. Happens when I let the radio turn all the way on with the key to "RUN" and then to "START". It makes a small 'pop' that started about 2 weeks ago. Is the amplifier in the trunk starting to die out?

You might want to check the wiring, both amplifier and speakers, there may be broken wire somwhere, or the connections might be bad.
