The Yaris got dead last with 2 stars, Nissan Versa third with 2.5 stars, Chevy Aveo sedan second with 3 stars and of course, the Honda Fit won with 3.5 stars. In the first link I gave you there are also Car and Driver and MotorWeek awards, in which the Fit also won best small car in both. Toyota also has a huge engine sludge problem http://www.consumeraffairs.com/automotiv... I could go on and on about why you shouldnt buy a Toyota, especially the cheapest one.

Finding a used one will be next to impossible, the people that buy these great little cars are not the type that want to hop from car to car rather they are budget conscious and will drive them till they just won't go anymore. They do there homework because they intent to drive them for a long time, plus they're reliable and no reason to get rid of them. The dealer will gladly take your down payment for a new one but you may have to wait for one.It's true, when I want to see a yaria liftback at the dealers, they just say they only have the four door sedan version. You should ask them when the liftback might come in.
