Dodge charger restoration question...?

Question:
Hi. I Found a abandoned 1968 dodge charger. I can get it very very cheap, but its in pretty bad shape... the car hasn't been running for years, and all the paint is gone, like I said... very bad shape but I can get it for a few dollars. Now I don't know a thing about restoration or muscle cars in general. But If i get this car, how much will it cost me to restore it, just an ball park figure. It would definetly need some engine work also. The car definetly has potential if it would be in good shape. Is it worth it to buy it and invest money in it? Thanks ;)

Lift kit for my honda rancher 4x4?

at this vary moment a buddy and I are also restoring a 68 charger. the car was in vary bad shape (rust lots of rust) and the motor (440) was shot. so far we have spent about $3000 on motor work but if your motor in in decent shape i would figure in about $1500 to $2000. the reason ours was so expensive was because the cylinders where seized and the motor had to be bored out (bigger cylinders & pistons) whitch gets exspensive. as for the body work all the floor pans had to be replaced inclueding the trunk floor(cost for all floor pieces was about $650). as for the rest of the car it needed a left front fender a right rear quarter panle a hood bolth bumpers and we also picked up all new bushings and weather stripping the cost for all of that ran us about $1500 you may be able to find some parts a little cheaper if you go to some swap meets or get lucky on ebay. we found all the exterior part at swap meets. as for the floor pans we could not find anyone who had them so we had to by them new. as for everything else its kinda up in the air with all the tools and other genral parts you need like nuts bolts and things like that

Depending on your commitment to restoration and your commitment to budget your spending You could easily spend $7,500- the actual retail price of a restored 1968 Dodge Charger. Me personally, I'd do most of the work myself to save $
money. If your not capable or confident, you are gonna have to spend more money for better work.

Toyota corolla?

buy it!! project cars are always fun!! you could spend any amount of money on the project!! the sky's the limit.. but you'd probably be able to get pretty decent parts and paints for 8k or less.. just do it little by little and try to learn how to do a lot of the stuff on your own.. trial and error.. it will be fun, trust me!!

If it is Rusty - it can be very expensive

Is there is any company named ( volvo automobiles) in u.k.?

My guess is that you would likely be looking at about at least $20k for a really nice restoration - if it is rusty look more like $30K.

Did they make diesel dodge rams back in the 90's?

Rebuilding the engine and tranny would be about $5k and the body about $15K

96 olds 3100-v6, water in oil...LOTS! runs good otherwise. i hear theres a problem wit intake gaskets on these

It will cost more to restore it than it will be worth restored just so you know - unless it is an RT or something else special - so it sounds like a great hobby car but not a good "investment"

If you decide to get it make sure you get all the parts for it if it has been at all disassembled and anything else the owner is willing to throw in - When I got my roadrunner the guy threw in an extra 1970 440 just to get rid of it - so ASK

Monthly payment on a subaru sti?

Sure you should buy it and restore it; then drive the wheels off of it!! Those early Chargers are great fun, classy looking and will often times hold their value. If you have the time, energy, are capapble of doing most of the work and the money, why not turn it into a project? My only questions are, "What do you mean by 'abandoned'; is it in a field or on somebody's property?" Make sure the seller is actually the owner as you wouldn't want to put a lot of money into it only to have the original owner claim it was stolen or misappropriated! Even if you have to spend 10 to 15 thousand dollars restoring it, think of how proud you'll be behind the wheels of a classic Dodge. I say, "Go for it!!"

Where can i find a soft top for my 2002 jeep wrangler in stock in savannah ga?

most restoration projects are just that. projects for folks with a love for the job. its very hard work and expensive to boot but the satisfaction of having something no one else has and doing it yourself is priceless. as far as an investment, the 68 charger is a low end collectible and will never return the money you will spend re-doing it if its done good or better than new.
