Question:
My 1992 Chevrolet Cavalier has been having random intermittent problems .. I stopped using it when we got a new car, but I'm going back to college and had to put it back on the road. When I had stopped using it, the horn had stopped working - it would occasionally beep if you pushed it, but most of the time it would just click. The fuse is fine, so I figured it was either a faulty horn or bad wiring. Now, the brake light won't turn off unless I pull the fuse. It's not stuck at the pedal; the pedal travels correctly and it pushes the button in as it should. Could there be any correlation between the two problems, like a wiring harness problem, or is it likely that there are two separate electrical-oriented problems? I could try to replace the sensor at the brake pedal and try and fix the horn, but I don't want to spend the time and money if it's going to be a widespread electrical problem.. Any input is appreciated!

I have a chevy blazer. When Im at idle, and rev the enginge, the headlights get brighter-alternator?
Two separate problems. The horn relay is not working correctly and the brake light switch is stuck (maybe internally, where you can't see)No you need a new horn this will fix horn.Your brake lite switch could appear to be working but in side the switch it could be sticking
you might try removing the steering wheel cover and cleaning the horn button contacts. it could be as simple as that for the horn button, but if you have to remove more than a couple of screws from the back of the steering wheel, its not worth it. you might mess up something in the airbag system and cost yourself alot of money to get it fixed. then check the horn relay and the contacts to the horn(s) itself.
the brake light switch probly went out. even though it is moving properly, the contacts inside may not be working. replace it if its not too much.
never say never, but i doubt the two problems are related.
