i have always dealt fords and so have my parents and we have never had any problem with ford productions(but we have always brought them brand-new), we have been able to put a lot of miles on our fords. My mom even had a 89mercury cougar which she brought brand new and she just got rid of it with 319,887miles on it. so i don`t care what anybody says about the fords, i like them .i`ve always been taught that any car that u take care of, it will take care of u. but in this case even though i don`t care a thing about VW`s if i were u i would trade it in and get a newer one just like the guy was saying before me. simply because i heard that by 2008 or 09 that they will be discontinuingthe freestyle.so because of that i would stick to the jetta wagon. but now they said in the news, that mercury will be coming out with another car that will have the same body style as the freestyle it is called Mercury Meta One.it will be coming out either by the end of 2008 or in the beginning of 2009. so just look into it.
and if that is too long to wait just an updated VW.

Ford builds garbage and the TDI is the best engine Volkswagen makes. You are crazy if you do that. You are going to miss that 47 MPG when gas prices spike and you will miss quality German engineering when you see how stupidly designed that Ford is.

No Way.. keep the deisel 50 miles per gallon...the may not have much get up and go, but you will get 500,000 miles out of a diesel...never get that from a gas engine.More Questions & Answers ...
