Well what it is I have a Vauxhall Corsa r reg petrol and it overheats! I have checked the oil and the water and everything but it just keeps on overheating - oh yeah and the car had not been run for about a year so please can you suggest some methods to get it running again! It only done 45000 miles! When i opened the oil cap the oil was bubbling. please help!

You should change the water and check for collapsed hoses and airlocks. Give it a flush through with rad flush to get rid of silt build up and change the oil too. Also check the fan is coming on.I'm thinking of buying a 2004 Hyundai Sonata..Anybody know anything about this car?

Not many things cause an engin to overheat If your are any good with engines check the following or get a mechanic to helpA) Insufficient cooling in the system
B) Thermostst faulty
C) Radiator core blocked, or grill restricted
D) Electric cooling fan irlock in cooling system
E) Expansion tank pressure cap faulty
The above is about all that would cause your problem

well by the sounds of things you have a blocked pipe... what you need to do is drain the oil and water, and makes sure the radiator has no blockages otherwise start saving for a new one... also check to see if the temp sending is working correctly, this regulates when the cooling fan should kick in and when it should kick out.What is this noise in my 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan?
timing belts and chains, spark plugs, those little colored plug ins on the side or middle of your dashboard, over haul please.the cooling fan might not be working due 2 lack of circulation
it could be the propellers on the water pump (common fault)
or simply a fan sender switch on the side of the rad
to remove the switch using a 32mm socket then replace it with new
but a oil and water change is a good idea 2
