Question:
so i was driving my car last night, and all of the sudden, my speedo and tach went hywire!(it would jump to 100 back to 0 then up again, until both of em were on 0) then i look over to my gas/temp gauge and it also went crazy then it started to dim till it jus turned off, after all that my car started to die slowly, everytime i gave it gas it would jus bog down. and oh yeah this happen in liek 5 seconds or less. luckyly it was right up the road from my house!!
now i looked at all teh fuses and none of em seem to be busted. my power windows and sunroof doesnt work, my turn signal doesnt work, my car wont start.
i brought a new alternator and jumped the car..it started but shortly after that i turned it off b/c it still had the same problem!!
what could it be please help!

Sounds like a bad battery that cant hold a charge, the inst panel is all electric and so are the sensors to they give wonky readings on low juice. Check the battery terminals and main wires for corrosion and any auto parts store can do a load test on the battery.Where is the temp.sending unit and oil sending unit on a late model (80's) chevy 350?
Also when you drain all the power the cpu memory has to do a relearn and may run weird untill the tps and iac settings are back. Let it idle/rev to 2500 and bring it up to normal operating temperature once you know the battery is good.
