Does anyone know the top speed of a 96-98 jetta 2.0, also the 0-60 time, same for the 2.8 vr6 of the same year

Question:
i wanted to get a vr6 but cant really afford it, so i was thinking would there be a great difference in speed between the two, and one more thing, which would be a better choice in overall reliability and power?

7.1 s for the 98 vw gti vr6. I have one and this car rocks. its a pocket rocket :)
I would definetly wait till i afford the VR6. That's what i did. There is absolutely a difference. I have driven both the golf/jetta 4 cylinder is underpowered. Once i drove the Gti Vr6 i absolutely loved it, it feels solid and powerful.
I have talked with a Vw mechanic and he told me that the 98 vr6 are pretty reliable &hardly anything major goes bad.My suggestion test drive one and you will love it.
Now i have also driven the 2007 Gti turbo its only 4 cylinder but 200hp this one would be my future upgrade.Good luck!
