All the people, who answered before me are right. The holes need to be drilled manually. You can do it yourself or at a dealer, or somewhere else. The problem is the holder. If you bought a car new from a dealer, they should have given the holder to you. If you bought the car used and do not have the holder, it will cost you about $80 for an original Mercedes one. My fiance's mom has a 2002 Jetta and she just had the same problem a couple weeks ago. it seems that, strangely enough, some cars don't come with front bumpers that have plate holes in them. here's what we did. go to kragen or autozone and get a license plate holder. its the size of a plate and usually black. it has predrilled holes for the plate. you put this on the bumper, put the liscense plate on top of it and...sigh...drill holes into the bumper by hand. when you drill the holes, a simple hand dril will even do it since those bumpers are so soft, make the hole smaller than the sxrew you want to use, but no too small, you want the screw to hold. its really important that you make pilot holes first so you dont crack the bumper. once you make the holes, carefully screw the plate into the bumper. make sure you push in as you screw the bolts in so you dont strip the holes. it's a homemade solution, but it really does work if you dont want to pay a body shop a whole lot of money to do it for you. hope it helps.What kind of oil can i use for my car 5w20 or 5w30?
Honda's as of late do not have them either but all you have to do is go by the dealership and they should be willing to put it on for free for you including making the holes. I just had the same problem and the dealership was more than happy to do it for me at no charge.
