This is sort of apples and oranges in my opinion. My parents have an element, it's no sport sedan. If you are an enthusiast, I'd go test drive an Accord V-6 with the six speed manual transmission. Here are a couple articles to read on each of the cars.

I own Honda Accord EX since 2001 and it works great. I never drove Honda Element and for some reason I didn't like the design of the car but that car is more useful for if you like to go out on camping or hiking. But afterall its made by Honda and there cars are always good.

they are both really good cars. it depends on what youll do with it. accords are faster and get better mpg. element is very functional. awd helps in inclimate weater. i would get an accord tho
