I have almost 300,000 miles on my 88 Cherokee and he still runs has good has my 05 with only 19,000 miles does. I have been told if I keep up on his repairs that he could last another 50,000 to 100,000 before he would need to be rebuilt.I just hit 152,000 on my '99 TJ Sahara (4.0) and aside from the exhaust manifold issue, the only problem I've had with it is the power steering pump that went out this month. I have a 91 wrangler with a 4.0 that hasn't been taken care of that well. it sat for 3 years without being run, and a lot of the seals dried up, and now I use it mainly for rock crawlin, so none of it's miles are easy anymore. It has 190k on it, the rear main leaks and the head gasket leaks. Other than that though, it runs great. It will still climb the pass (I live in CO) at about 70 in 4th gear (diffs at 4.56). While my mileage is rather low, my Jeep does tend to spend at least one weekend a month idling for 12+ hours a day in the woods when four wheeling.
