What would cause the dash lights and gauges to not work?

I have a 93 chrysler concorde and the dash lights and gauges wont work sometimes. when they dont, the transmission wont shift either. any suggesttions? thanks

There are times when the circuit board behind the dashboard goes bad and it has to be replaced. This would be after you've checked everything else especially the fuses. Also check the connector to the computer. Sometimes they get loose.
