How do i tell what rear axle i have in my 2000 jeep cherekee yj?

There is no such thing as a rear hub assembly "rebuild" kit. You need to replace the bearing assembly. You are better off taking it in to have the old bearing pressed out, and a new one pressed in, where they have a bearing press. On these trucks they are an extremely tight fit. You can remove the rear spindle and hub assembly yourself, but I'd recommend taking it to a shop, and having the new one pressed in, if it's the labour of the repair you are trying to save money on.
