Why are all the lights on the dashboard of my 2001 Pontiac sunfire coming on?

I hear a clicking noise in teh engine and then all the lights on my dash come on. i have checked all the fluids all are ok. any suggestions?

Check the battery AND the battery connections (make sure that they're clean and shiny). Also, have the alternator checked.
