any engine will fit into any car. Just depends how much money you have to spend and how bad you want that new motor in there. You will usually have to do major rerouting of the fuel lines and other cables/wires. Not to mention a computer change plus tranny change if the old one don't bolt up to the new engine.. Lots of work + lots of money = lots of horsepower and fun not to mention all the speeding tickets you would probably get trying to get all that power under control..

If I were you i would keep the 4.0 Liter 6 (which is a very reliable motor) or rebuild the 4.0 Liter 6, they have a very good amount of power/torque, I do believe the 5.7 Liter Hemi will fit on your Cherokee.
