I need some info about Acuras?
Sounds like the gizmo that opens the throttle slightly when idling in gear or with air-con on is busted. Clean up with carb cleaner, look for loose electrical connections near the air intake. This has been spotted in M-B cars which are probably closely related, and it is often an electrical connection. No joy? 2 words - TUNE UP.What are the main differences between an audi a4 and the a6?
Check the Air Filter, Fuel Flow, PCV valve, plugs, wires, etc., etc.,etc.
Turning on the AC puts additional drag on the engine... when you are in gear (i.e. drive), you are keep the engine from turning faster than the gear will allow (when you're on the brake).
If you raise the idle a bit - no problems... if you're in Park or Nuetral - no problem.
