Very nice cars. I have a 2001 Grand Prix GT. The 2004+ models are even nicer. You should definitely get the GXP model. 303HP 5.3L V8. Doesn't get much better than that :)

If you want to buy a Pontiac Grand Prix, then I suggest that you buy a 2006 or 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP, because you can use its shift pedals to change gears while driving, has a GPS navigation system, OnStar, and a powerful 303 horsepower engine with active fuel management. But, if you read Consumer Reports, then they don't recommend the car because of its poor fuel economy (17mpg, I guess), plus its coupe-like styling may limit people's view in the rear seat. I own a GTP and love it. It's like the best of both worlds. You get lots of torque and hsp yet you still have all the comfort of a large sedan. As far as holding their value, higher end cars always do better, stick to the GTP or the GTX.The Toyota Supra IS coming back?
My friend has a 05 (same as 06) supercharged GP, she loves it and has never had any problems with it. She usually buys a new car every 2 years but she loves it so much shes keeping it for alot longer. Shes never even been back to the dealer with it!The only bad thing is that Pontiac has this hairbrained idea to change all their cars names...to G something. The 07 GP's are the last ones. The new ones will be stupidly named G8. So I would either wait, or get a good deal on a used one. The value will drop way too much on a new one.

I had a 98 GP GT, put 84k on it with no problems. I now have a 06 GP, and love it. I bought it with 9k miles, and now it has 16k. No problems. Love the handling, smooth ride. Keep in mind when considering the higher end model, that GM recommends higher octane fuel. I get approx. 24 mpg around town, and 29 mpg on the highway with my 06 GP.
