The metric tyres are far too expensive.
98 Buick Century A/C clutch will not kick in?
I thought that there may be another car with the same stud pattern and offset that would suit and was much cheaper than buying new mag wheels

You do not have to buy Michelin tyres. Other brands could cost you less in Australia.
And do I understand that you want new alloy rims = wheels? You might compare the mags you have to a Peugeot 405 which also has alloy wheels as an option (But they are 14"!!). These 405 alloys wheels will be easier to find, not so rare, and therefore lower in price. They were avalilalbe starting in 1989 through 1993.
I think the 14" wheel bolt pattern will still fit on the Peugeot 505. Your car will ride 1/2" lower, and the speedometer will show a faster speed than the true speed.
Make sure they are perfectly round before adding your tyre, because these 405 alloys are easily bent, hitting a curbstone.
Also, the 4 bolts are 1/2 inch longer than standard bolts, and they are chromed, so you'll need those 16 bolts as well.
Always travel with a normal rim spare tire and the 4 different, shorter bolts to mount it.
