Question:
I'm having problems when i accelerate fast, it acts as if its running out of gas for like 1 or 2 seconds, only when i press on the accelerator hard. It's like i step on the accelerator but the car just doesnt move,"lags" for like 1 or 2 secs, then all the sudden it will pick up speed very fast. They have told me it could be the gas pump but to first replace the gas filter so i did and it;s still the same. Some people also told me it could be the fuel injectors, so i decided to take it to the VW DEALER to have it checked. They told me that the IGNITION COIL, SPARK PLUGS, AND WIRES.. had to be replaced. They said THATS HOW THEY GOING TO START. So meaning the problem might be somewhere else. What do you people think? Tomorrow i get it back. by the way its $$480 BUCKS for what they are gonna do today.. By the way the " CHECK ENGINE" light is on... If that is.nt the problem, should I try fixing it with them? Or should i go somewhere else?

Does anyone know where the antenna for my regency 2000 chevy express is?
Unfortunately a dealer's overhead is high and they pass the cost onto you. At least their pockets are deep if they screw something up. If you want to go to an outside shop, at least find a guy that specializes in european cars. Vw's are not as common as asian or american cars thus the opportunity for an independent shop to work on a vw is rare and finding a good independent european repair shop is even rarer. The vw's nowadays require specialized software to read, erase codes, and calibrate various vehicle systems, yada yada yada. Things the independent guy won't or can't buy to properly service the vehicle. What if the PCM needs to be reprogrammed to fix your concern? Who can do that but the dealer?
Where do I find the control module (rap) on my 2003 Windstar?
My advice to you is to sit down with the service manager, explain that you don't have much money and that you can only afford what is ABSOLUTELY necessary to repair your car right now. The last thing you want to do is fix it yourself and possibly making it worse, costing you even more money. I'd fix your car for real cheap if you lived in Florida dude.
How much will the trade in value be for a 2007 Mustang G/T be in one year?
well, the dealership is almost always the most expensive.95 Mazda Protege voltage problem??
go to Autozone and have them check the check engine light. They do it for free as long as your car is a year 1996 or newer.
Then you can go from there.
Could also be the oxygen sensor
the problem with the jetta, is their clutch is *** backwards, who thought of putting reverse next to first?? Just goes to show, germans aren't the best car makers out there.
In as country makes car bugatti veyron?
Your problem however sounds like a trans problem. take it to ammco before you take it to the dealer
Acuallly, it's a sensor . The throttle picks up about a second ortwo later. same with the 2003 mercedes c320. It's all electronic. there is noway to rev the engine from under the hood. all ofitisthe sensors that pick up late. it's supposed to be like that.
Wow, that's only about $100 in parts and about 1/2 hour of your time if you did it yourself. $380 for labor? Rip off!!
I had my check engine light on my 97 Jetta for 5 years. No issues. No one could figure out what was causing it. I had nothing wrong. I was told to be sure to tighten the gas cap to help this out, but it did nothing. I would occasionally see it go off, but just go use to it being on.
Chevy small block qouestion. break in.?
Good Luck!
I don't know your problem but I have a 03 GTI and am having the same thing . I changed out the fuel filter checked the pump and changed the relay . I know its not the coil packs or plugs . I also changed out the fuel pressure regulator . Its hit or miss some times its good and sometimes not . I am thinking it has to be a sensor or ecu . But what one there has to be about 8 and about $100 each . I'm going to start with the RPM . Keep in touch and maybe we can save each other money and at least get it fixed
