Losing fuel (10 mpg) on 2001 Oldsmobile Alero V6 with 21,000 original miles?

Question:
I have a question if someone can help me out that 2 mechanics cannot figure out the problem. My mother has a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero with the V6 engine. It has only 21,000 miles on there. She only puts on about 50 miles a week. The problem is that she is only getting 10 mpg doing her short commute of 10 miles per day to and from work. I have had the upflow O2 sensor and all the fuel injectors replaced to try to resolve the problem. There also seems to be a small problem with gas leaking into the oil pan as well but not very much. When I have driven the car on a long commute it gets great gas mileage, but on the short commutes only 10 mpg. Can anyone help?

The short trips could be killing it.. the engine will run a bit rich during warm up..might be all it is..Has it been that way since she has owned it or has it just started..
