the sequential box is just a manual gear box with a clutch but not operated by clutch pedal rather a solenoid assy when you either **** the lever up press the up button the shifter engages the gear required i would say that you have not had the oil changed as this is a special oil and should be changed Evey 80000miles and the shifter correctly adjusted up by your local Toyota dealer just like a clutch adjustment
