first and foremost thak you in advance to those who would like to answer,i don'tneed answer like take to a shop or mechanic,i need somebody that have some experienced on this car line more of a mechanic/technician.i'm amaster tech myself on another car line.my problem is that this car will not idle in the morning on it'sown,i have to hold down the gas for a minute,and the other issue is the idle fluctuates when coming to a stop when the engine is warm,it does not stall and the car runs great even having 300k miles on it.please tell me what do they call the particular part needed for this problem.thanks again.

try the choke let of valve on the carb - usually when cold when it does not work right it will not idle right till the engine warms up

Check Air Mass sensor failing - Golf in workshop last week with similar problem. Couldn't work it out so called in a VW tech to investigate and he found it. Apparently quite common.How can i find the security code on a chevy stock radio?

water temp sensor that feeds the computer not the gage, about 15 bucks at a good parts store. You will get wet changing it. do it when the engine is cold and get the aluminum washer/gasket for the darn thing. Probably has a plastic connector with 2 - 3 pins and If I remeber right only two wires in it on the side of the head facing the transmission.

Could be a weak fuel pump and/or partially plugged fuel filter.Check fuel pressure.Could be a defective water temp sensor.Helps control air/fuel on start up.Check EGR for proper function.Can cause stalling.
