Compresser ??

Question:
ac compresser engages and blows cold air. however, makes a faint knocking sound once in a while. is it nornal? just added r134 a to the system caz it wasn't workin

most a/c comp. are somewhat noisy,but if it works that's what matters now if it gets worse,you may have a problem but if it seems to remain about the same it should be considered normal
