Is there a way to adjust idling speed for my VW Polo, 1.4 - 2002 model?
The filter is under the hood on the passenger side in front of the battery if you are looking form the passenger side fender. It looks like an oil filter. First thing is to disconnect the water sensor wires at the bottom of the filter- the connector is about 4 inches from the filter. Just follow the wires. Once that is disconnected you will need to turn the filter clockwise as you were looking down at the filter. The essayist way to turn the filter is with an oil filter strap wrench that can be purchased at a local parts house. once the filter is removed you will need to transfer over the water sensor at the bottom of the filter. The filter should come with new orings take the time to lightly lubricate them with oil. It will make them seat better. After the filter is installer, on the top of the fuel filter housing you should see a small screw fitting(this is the air bleed off valve). Open the fitting, just to the left you will see a plunger. Pump the plunger until you see fuel coming out of the air bleed valve. Close the valve. You are now ready to start the truck. Check for leaks and reset fuel filter monitor life if equipped. If the engine stalls don't worry there was a little air left in the system, just crank the engine and the air should bleed out.Im buying a car.. NEED SUGGESTIONS!!?
good luck, Michael
