How safe are jeep wranglers and are they good for first time drivers?

What are the correct tyre pressures for a 1993, 4 door Vauxhall Astra Diamond 1.6i?

for first time driver maybe not. although wranglers have a reputation for being easily roll-able, they are less likely to roll than you think. jeep has a good vertical weight distribution on the "stock" wrangler, better than similar vehicles. the grand cherokee has almost, if not the best reputation for rollovers.

Does anyone know the interchangeability of 1998 Chevy truck long box (bed) with 1992 Chevy truck long box?

if rolling on the highway is what you are concerned about, don't be too concerned. it takes over half a wheel rotation at 45 mph in a wrangler to get on three wheels. with the right tires that provide enough slip, it will be less easy to roll your jeep. however installing tires with more slip takes away from its original purpose.

How reliable is HyundaiSanta Fe SE AWD 2007?

what you should really worry about is a first time driver using its "trail rated" ability. 60 - 75 percent of rollovers occur while offroading. with a jeep, how can one not take it on the trails. with a basic jeep offroading is not really a good idea because the jeep lacks the expensive equipment like "quadra-drive" and others used to improve maneuvering and articulation assisting in not destroying the vehicle or passengers.

Do you think the 1994 Pontiac Trans Am 25th anniversary car will collect value in the future??

this lack in proper trail driving equipment installed in the vehicle could make it dangerous and expensive to maintain.

Dodge Viper & VW Golf?

not good for any driver

How do i temporarly stop an odometer for a lexus?

Jeep wranglers are nice and reliable once you get passed all the recalls. But a first time car for a frist time driver should be a car that good but kinda old so in case of a wreck it won't be to hard on the pocketbook. SOme thing like a old style Impala, or a malibu

What is the difference between a regular Corvette and a Corvette Stingray?

not safe @ all - height is good but wheel base is to short - these jeeps all have major roll over factors - for example making a turn to fast - they will flip right over ! they are expensive to maintain, and a vast majority have developed oil leaks from both the rear ends and the oil pans , none of this is affordable to fix .

Can anybody help?

Not very safe really, we're talking about a vehicle that has been changed as LITTLE as possible since the 1950s. Also very prone to roll over accidents if turned at high speeds. Also not all that great for highway driving, the 4 cylinder doesnt have enough power and the v6 is loud as hell and guzzles gas at highway speeds, its like driving around with a large refridgerator strapped to the front of it since its a big square.

Porcshe 911 (997) Carrera, Aston Martin Vantage or Mercedes SL500?

Jeep Wranglers are awesome looking vehicles and I have owned one before. Unfortunately, they have a short wheel base and roll over easily..just ask me, I rolled mine under icy conditions and spent 10 days in a hospital with tramatic brain injury. I'd still have to admit that they are fun vehicles but kinda risky, especially for a new driver! : )

Is the Hyundai Tiburon any good for a sporty car?

they are very safe, they hold up great in a collision, and if they do roll over the full roll bar that comes standard stays intact, i would have no problem buying one for my son when he gets his drivers license

Nissan stanza?

Jeep Wranglers can be quite safe given the drive knows how to control one, and learns not to take corners at 80MPH. As for getting one for a new drive I wouldn't, as new driver's have not learned the skills needed to safely operate an offroad truck.

Would you trade a 1999 Eddie Bauer Explorer for a 1993 Lexus SC400?

It takes a while to get used to driving a Wrangler and I would not recommend a first time driver getting one, but for someone who has driving experience. They are easy to roll, hard to handle at times when there is strong wind, and there is a lot of play in the steering wheel (which means it will turn on a dime), and if turned too fast and too sharp, can cause the Jeep to roll over.

What are these bolts for on the stock manifold? old 350?

Must be a lot of bad drivers,I have owned a couple of Jeep CJ7's and currently own a CJ7 and a TJ and have never rolled one.The TJ even has a 2inch lift on it,you just don't go around corners fast or turn the steering wheel sharp at high speeds.I also have taken them 4wheeling and have had all 4 tires off the ground with no problems.

1998 pontiac grand prix?

Don't listen to them. Jeep Wranglers are safer than other cars because they are made of steel rather that fiberglass. Jeep Wranglers are not EASY to roll over either. I saw a video of one turning the corner to fast and it slid, it didn't roll over. I am getting a Jeep Wrangler for my first car and my parents have no problem with it.
