Question:
ok so i just got this 95' jeep cherokee sport, its a 4x4 with a straight six, now im not the greatest on cars or anything of that nature, but i just wanted to know what everybody thought.. i know theres a "list" that you should do to your car first. like air intake, exhaust.etc.. im not sure on what kind of intake i should get for a reasonable price...second.. the major question, i know this guy that can give me a custom exhaust. but i don't know what to get,. you may not no. but the jeeps only come with one exhaust pipe. should i go duel.. (ew.ricerrrr...) just a duel tip.. out the side (my personal choice). or what.. any suggestions. ?

My 95 cherokee 2wd 5spd would do a 0-60 in under 8.0 , if i had a possi it would have been maybe a low 7 sec consistantly,, anyway
#1 K&N intake,
2 Get some decent spark plugs,, like something with a Vtip
3 I had a throttle body spacer(maybe .2hp) a little more torque
4 i usually ran middle grade gas at least.
5. FLOWMASTER 40's Muffler
6. MY catalytic convertor was gutted out
MY zeros to sixties were verified by Gtech thingy(yes it really works)
The rest are other things you can try
7 If you have an automatic a Chip would be best bet to reprogram shift curve, Chips benefit auto's more then manuals(STAY AWAY FROM JET) HYPERTECH MAY BE BETTER WAY TO GO
Is it hard to get a Honda. Does one have to have excellent credit?
8. Like someone else said tire pressure
9 Keep transmission fluid clean especially if automatic
10 use synthetic in differentials
11 Once again CLEAN PLUGS
12 Good cap and wires
13 A header
14 Add some 3:73's and a posi(i always wanted to try it)
15 Dont have BIG Tires maybe keep stock 235 75 15's or 225
16 Roller rollers and a small cam( may have to get custom ship to reprogram timing and Etc)
However remember it is a cherokee not a race car they dont like 5000 rpm much.

Nissan Sentra 1999 Transmission Problem?!!?
Oh for exhaust i went with 2 1/2 muffler and kept stock tailpipe. The jeep was quiet at idle but in the upper RPMS it sounded like nothing else. If you go with a 2 1/2 tailpipe it will be louder at idle. but without the signifigant change of tone. It will be louder,, you may lose some low end torque. But the tone itself didnt seam to have the change..

changing the exhaust tip wont affect performance. Its just cosmetic so it isnt actually a modification. What do you think of a dodge intrepid with 143,000 miles on it?
It all up to your personal choice. As for me I'd go for better wheels and a nicer suspension system.
My 1969 Pontiac Lemans also has GTO badges on it, did Pontiac put both on it's cars back then?
for engine parts www.cliffordresearch.netthe 4.0 does just fine from the factory...you not going to really get this big roar out of a straight six..cherokees are fine from the factory..maby a little lift or some bigger tires mabye...oh yea a cold air,or mabye a throttle body spacer may help on gas mileage..i have a 2000 wrangler..now those are eye grabber all jacked up.its black on black..but it only has a 4 cly auto in it for now..
I've got a 94 Cherokee same engine and also 4x4. There are numerous things to consider. And first before you buy anything decide what you plan to use it for. Is it around town driving? Off road? a mix of both? No off road just street? If you're going to be going off road you may not want a cold air intake as it opens up the filter to water and mud. Water will ruin an engine in a hurry if it gets in the intake.
As for the exhaust I doubt you'd see much of a difference with duals over a good single pipe setup on a inline 6. Personally I have a banks header, hi-flow cat, 40 series flowmaster, and just the plain pipe tip out the back. Nice sound and a good power gain.
I have a 2000 Ford Explorer and have to replace front brakes every 15-20,000 miles, is that normal?
I also have a drop in K&N a little boost in the power for not much money.
Who invented the chrysler minivan?
Suspension and tires are another thing to look into in the jeeps. A lift is nice with bigger tires but you'll also need to regear the axles.
How much does an Owner's Manual cost from a dealership?
My list went like this:
K&N
Suspension lift (5.5")
Tires (33x12.50R15)
wheels (15x10 steel fake beadlocks)
Exhaust (as mentioned above)
Centerforce clutch (mine's a 5spd)

Does the Toyota Prius come with the same engine as the Toyota Vitz?
Jeeps are a nice place to learn to work on a car. Get a manual, a good set of tools, and some parts and have a good time. They're really pretty simple to work on.
I have a 91 camaro with fuel injection what grade of fuel is best for my car?
Stay with stock exhaust, as your engine will only breathe through one side, staraight six and all. You could change cat and muffler with a more free flow design. Leave intake air box alone, comes stock as cold air, but throw a k and n in there. I have a 99 cherokee with 4,0 and get 23 mpg. Look into the suspension, got to www.jcwhitney.com and have them send you a jeep catalog. Tons of good stuff. Also there is Acme Jeep. I have the 99 cherokee as well as a 93 wrangler, love em both.Fixing the hinge pins of a silverado door.?

Will a pro comp 3 inch spindle lift off of a 2002 Ford Ranger fit a '94 Jeep Wrangler?
2" lift, 31" tires. FIPK, please I beg you as a Jeep lover do not put dual exhaust....I bought an '04 ford focus from main ford dealer now they tell me i have no warranty!?
With the 4.0 litre inline 6, your best bet is to increase the fresh air intake. Just get a fram air hog will work best if you can not find it then you will need a full intake kit from K&N. They are the only company to make the fresh air system for this engine. Then replace the standard spark plugs with Bosch Platinum plugs. They offer a better spark than standard and help to burn fuel efficiently and effectively for optimun performance. For the exhaust just use a single pipe exhaust. Go with the 3" diameter and have the 4" tail pipe put on. I know this may seem wierd but trust me on this. You will find that the exhaust will flow better and sound appealing at the same time. I have had numerous Jeeps from the CJ-7 to Grand Cherokees. They all have had that 4.0 litre engine. This engine is a work horse of an engine. With every thing done as I have listed you should get close to 22 MPG HWY and 16-18 MPG City. You will increase your horse power by 15% as well as a boost in torque. When will the 2008 civics/hondas come out??

Has any body had alignment problems with Daewoo nubria?
Mods to your jeep should be thought out very carefully and budget figure out what you are going to do with your jeep first are you going to off road it hard then I would go for a lift and bigger tires first no sense in horsepower if you have a gimpy truck then I would do a gear up grade to account for the tire sizethen bumpers so you can bounce off of the obstacles and still get home without body damage equip your truck for the worst then make it a speed demon tow straps tow hooks a winch a high lift jack shackles to conect the straps together and off road lighting would be first on my list you are not going to be racing at high speeds in the woods and low range is where you are going to get your torque to pull hills and mud and rocks so if the engine runs really good save your money for the more important stuff that will get you there and back its no fun being stuck in the middle of the boonies
with no way to get ya out or get your friends out if they get stuck trying to get you out
