"Better" is a subjective word. I'd opt for the Cadillac as I prefer American vehicles, but there are others who swear by the German manufactured vehicles, just as there are others who say the Lexus is the best made car in the world. Depending upon what use you're planning on getting out of the vehicle, and how your driving ability is utilized (some people can't drive to save their butt), you should drive whatever you are the most comfortable operating.What do you think of a dodge intrepid with 143,000 miles on it?

I love cars, love modifying them, racing them, repairing them... and I love my IS300. I'd wanted one for a long time before I was able to get it. I think their designs are very classic, and those are the ones that stand the test of time. My IS is a blast to drive and provides pretty much everything I want in a driving experience. They are incredibly reliable (they *are* made by Toyota after all) and you can find older "Lexi" everywhere, where as all the Benz over 10 years old are headed off to some scrap yard well.
I can't stand Mercedes, I think they are poorly made and are often bought just for the name (like a BMW, but sadly Benz doesn't hold a candle to them). My boyfriend's boss owns an SL50 (or is at an SL500-- which ever is the more expensive, I don't know) and it is in the shop CONSTANTLY, always needed more ridiculously over-priced repairs.Also, the fact that they offer those little cheapo models for those who just want to have a Benz (kind of like the Porsche has the Boxster) is just sad to me...

The most reliable is the lexus, hands down. Lexus has been the leader for reliability for the last 7-10 years in a row. (consumer reports, jd power, consumer affiars)
the next would be bmw. Great cars.
then cadillacs... quality has really tanked in the last 5 years.

it depends what your looking for in the car, Mercede-Benz are hands down the most stylish cars, but some models have reliability issues, BMWs are great performance oriented cars, Lexus, makes great cars and are probablly the most reliable with BMW being a close second, but personally I find the german cars more stylish, so I'd probablly never acually but a Lexus, and as for Cadillac, I really don't care for American cars.

If you read Consumer Reports they will say Lexus is the way to go. Everybody that I know that has a Lexus really likes the car, to me they look like any other car. I drive a 2004 Mercedes S430 and I love it. A Mercedes will turn far more heads than any of the other cars you mentioned.I have a 2007 tahoe. Where can I get some seat covers?
