FOR SOME REASON THIS CAR HAS BEEN CATCHING MY EYE. I AM SOMEWHERE BETWEEN A 2001-2004. HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED ANY PROBLEMS OR KNOW OF ANYTHING? I NEVER HEARD ANYTHING GOOD ABOUT LINCOLNS, NOR ANYTHING BAD. SO ANY PRAISE GOOD OR BAD WILL HELP ME MAKE A DECISION ON THIS MAKE/MODEL.

The LS is a sweet car you can get a 2006 for 25 grand with rwd and 280 hp.The Ls had pretty goo d reliability except the year 2000 model.Also they got rid of the LS cause it was selling poorly and they did not replace it yet.Next year the replacement is comming out called the MKS it will be bigger than the Ls and faster but it will be expensive around 50 grand.Well, here is where I'd start...

I am in the same boat. My father had an 03 and loved it. he recommends it. I have test drove a couple and they are nice. I don't know anything about the reliability or ratings though. Not a bad car but a little bland in the cabin. Handles very well on dry surfaces and with the V8 is very powerful. Gas milage is not that good for a car its' size, 15 - 18 in suburban driving. 24 or so at sustained hiway speeds. A little tight in rear leg room but front seats are comfortable. Worst problem is that it's a dog on snow and Ice. My FWD Continental had it all over the LS for comfort and ride. The transmission died at 40K but was repaired under warrenty. Decent car, especially for the price but I'm getting rid of mine fairly soon. I want a little more comfort and safer bad weather handling.Awesome car!

i have heard everywhere that they are very nice cars. the answer somewhere above is correct that ford is replacing it with the MKS. it is about 5 inches or so bigger, better performance, quality, modern electronic gizmos, and anything you can think of as an improvement of the ls. the only thing not good about the mks is the price, but wouldn't any car as cool as the mks cost a lot too?More Questions & Answers ...
