How do you correctly replace the PCV valve in a 1996 Dodge Stratus?
The CST has all the options. Does it have a big block engine? It should have. A very few did come with a 350. The way to tell is to check the numbers and letters on the front (passenger side) of the engine. You will need to find someone that has a code book, or you can purchase your own from MSA-1. Do a search on yahoo for this book, and you will find how to buy it. It cost about $18, but is well worth it. You can use it to de-code every part on the engine. There should also be a tag on the door jam, but it doesn't really tell you much. Back then, (before they started using the numbers on the dash that you see from outside the windshield), the only way to tell was by the engine numbers, and if it had all the options.Glad to help you, Good Luck!

Look for Cab and fender badges then look to conveinence options such as-ps,pb,auto trans,ac dash w/deluxe guages, deluxe door panels and matching seat, external gastanks and sport wheels. To be absolutely sure check the cowl tag on the firewall. I'm not 100% familiar with the trucks but know a fair amount about the cars of this era. The cowl tag will have the trim codes listed as well as the options. Write down all the numbers...they will appear something like this..."w9a", z03", etc etc. Then go to a Chevy truck enthusiasts website and I'm sure they have information there. Most do.More Questions & Answers ...
