4 Barrel On A 300 In-line 6?

Question:
I am redoing a 1975 Ford Inline 6 Motor. I am looking for an intake solution. I Have found A Offenhauser 4 Barrel intake and on top of that would put a 390 cfm Holley Carb. Is this a good solution? What would be My HP gain and mileage loss? any other suggestions?

You will need a header and good cam to make any serious hp, but with what you say, I would guess 25 hp gain and only minimum mileage loss based on driving techniques :)

this is a great motor and will respond to the usual hop ups, I run a Clifford 4 barrel manifold, 650 holly with a full race cam,Mallory ignition, 12:1 pistons and headers . Makes about 375 HP, and with 3 Holly 500's set up makes 450 hp :)

1980 Dodge 1-ton?

It's a waste of time, The offy manifold doesn't get hot enough (the plenum in it is too large), the fuel doesn't atomize right. I've tried that before. A straight six doesn't need that much carb. Spend your money on a good tach and timing light. You'll get more power and better fuel economy by getting the thing runniing right and tight than fooling around with that manifold. When you change the manifold, the heat door (under the manifold on the exhaust manifold) wont allow enough heat to get into the intake to keep it at the proper temp in cooler weather, Causing the fuel to puddle in the intake, and resulting in a nearly flooded condition.

How do you program a keyless remote for a 2001 Mercury Sable?

Try this: Take your max rpm that you will be running, say 5'000 and multiply that by displacement, 300, then divide that by 3456 ( Constant) and multiply by .85, ( which is about the normal volumetric efficiency of a street engine, on average ). So I guess a carb around 430 cfm would work out. Chances are that 5'000 rpm will not be seen too often. So you are right in the ballpark.

how many liters is the full tank of a 1989 toyota corolla?

yes you will gain some hp and you should not notice much mpg loss. You might want to check into getting a split header setup as well, more power and that will bring that economy up
