What would be some good modification to a 1994 ford crown victoria?
I just posted this question a couple of weeks ago for my '98 Cherokee. Apparently the method for holding the shifter knob on for various years and models varies greatly. These are the most common answers I got: it's threaded just twist it off(wrong), it has an allen head screw near the bottom(wrong), it has a lock nut near the bottom and you have to turn it to the right and tighten it down the shifter and knob will loosen to the left(wrong). The right answer for me was to pry off the center cap with the shift pattern. Underneath is a nut that you can take off with a socket wrench. It's kind of hard to pry it out and I did damage my original shifter knob, but it didn't matter because the previous owner had already done a number on it. Hope one of these answers is right for you.Why don't you just try to unscrew it and then you will have your answer?
