its great my 03 wrangler with the auto trans is bomb proof transmission shifts like no ones business its great. never jerks into a shift unless its cold and you drive it hard when its cold but after like a min of drivin its good to go. great combo too bad they changed the 4.0 to some gay little v6.its ok

If not serviced and ran low on fluid just like any other tranmission... 75,000 to 105,000 thats real good for never being serviced...

trannys in all jeeps are great not many problems,most of the problems are with the 6 or 8 cylinder engines.as long as you maintain the 4.0 L it will last i have a customer that has a 94 wrangler with 256,000 on it and his brother has a 93 grand cherokee 324,000 on it they will run forever as long as you do the scheduled maintenance on itMore Questions & Answers ...
