I would go for the Toyota Yaris, the insurance is cheap and the Japanese cars are the most reliable unless you're really unlucky! It won't need much upkeep and they're nice too. My friend has a new Beetle and she says they use a lot of petrol and insurance is expensive too. Whatever you choose, hope its the right one. Good luck.
