Mondeo steering problem?

i heard a noise coming from behind o/s /f wheel . then my battery went flat . i have just jump started the car and now my steering is solid it wont move at all ... any ideas

it sounds like your belt has snapped, the ribbed type belt on this car drives the power steering and the alternator, also the water pump so don't run the engine or you will over heat it and knacker the engine totally

better check and find out what is bound up on the front of your engine. It sounds like you either had a belt break or one of the pullies locked up.........P/S.....Alt........... if you even have any belts left on the car !

sounds like the PAS belt snapped if the batt went flat as well, coz i think theyre on the same belt in a ford mundane.
