I need safety ratings on a 2005 mustang convertible?
Any Type-R engine should be your first choice. The Type-R motors are they very best Honda has to offer. I would also recommend you get a JDM Type-R. The K20A is the best motor; 2.0L or smaller. I have a K20A in my 1993 Civic hatchback. I am getting 280whp, all-motor, from my Type-R motor thanks to a list of parts from TODA Racing. Honda also offers a JDM 1.8L and JDM 1.6L Type-R motor. The 1.8L is from Integra Type-R and 1.6L is from Civic Type-R. The 1998 ITR is most likely the best 1.8L Honda offers. You will find quite a few parts for this motor still on the market today. You can also interchange various parts between motors, sort of like customizing with OEM Honda parts. The way to identify JDM from USDM is by the engine code. No Japanese motors have numbers following the engine code. For example -

K20A - JDM (Japanese Domestic Market)
K20A3 - USDM (Untied States Domestic Market)
What is the size of the lug nut pattern on 2001- 2006 ranger 4x4s?
The "3" represents a motor built for US production. USDM motors are designed with more restrictions than JDM motors. For example - USDM motors have more pollution control devices than JDM motors. JDM ECU's are usually more aggressive than USDM ECU's. Either way, JDM or USDM, the Type-R is your best choice. Hope this helps...
