Question:
We have a chevy s-10 and the gas gauge does not work. We bought a universal one and attempted by tapping into the pink wire that goes to the sending unit and running a wire...of course the other wire goes to fuse box and the third to ground..when we did this the one on the truck started moving.so we removed the universal and just connected the pink wire we tapped into staight to the fuse box. Is this okay..or do we need some kind of inductance or resistance between the two...it seems to be working without, but not sure if this is proper?
