Vintage Windshield Defroster?

Question:
I have a GM electric windshield defroster that I found in the attic. The part number is 601168 and you used suction cups to attatch it to the windshield. I also think that it runs on 6V. Can anyone tell me the year this thing is from, how much it cost, and how much it might be worth today.

i think its from the early fiftys but not sure not worth much except to a old car buff that wants it good luck try putting it on ebay
