by using a good after market power programmer you can change all types of engine management perameters. from engine rpm limiters to transmission shift points. places like jegs, summit racing and various other sources carry these programmers. just remember you dont want to elimenate the rev limiter entirely. over revving these 4.6's is not a good idea as a catostrophic failure can occure. Go with a Diablo chipif you are talking about the top speed limiter, theres no reason to remove it unless you add some horsepower because your truck is very drag limited in top speed, even a lightning will top out at 140 because of drag. the rpm limiter is also useless to remove unless you have done some upgrades like hi flow cylinder heads, intake, exhaust.etc. if you do it on a bone stock engine all its going to do is make noise, you will not make any more power at a higher rpm.
